The So Cal chapter of HET attended the California Historical Vehicle Spring Meet at the Gene Autry Museum (next to the LA Zoo). We met prior to the the show for donuts and coffee (strange, no cops showed up)and caravaned a mile down the road to the show where we displayed our 7 Hudsons as a group. I would guess that there were well over a hundred cars. Due to the historical nature of this show, it was attended by very knowlegable car enthusiasts and the Hudsons truely garnered alot of admiration. I believe we signed up two new members aswell (Jon Cronk did a great job soliciting)

The club payed everyones $10 entry fee to the show so we had good attendance. The club had a big banner and an easel to display all of Hudson's great accomplishments.

There was one lone Hudson Jet owner there (from the Inland Chapter) who said to us as we drove in, "Your a sight for sore eyes". He has attended this show for three years and he has always been the only Hudson there.

It brings up a good point that it is very important that we Hudson owners attend these multi-make meets if we are going to keep our ranks filled with new Hudsonites.

As a last foot note, I had a guy come up to me and say, "I bet all the Mercury owners hate you guys". I laughed, it made my day. Niels
