Where have all the Wasps Gone
It' seems that there are so many wonderful Hudsons out there . I have seen Hornets and all kinds of models from all decades. It seems to me that I have not seen a Wasp !!!! I know that there were a fair amount produced but how many are out there. I think it would be great to see pictures posted of all the Wasps out there so that people could see them. I for one saw dated photo's of back when But haven't seen many from the present era. One of my favorite photo's is this one. This car is gorgeous. As Rare As Hen's Teeth.

Here's a 54 wasp that needs some work....0

I cut my 54 up. It's laying in pieces in the woods. Front clip is for sale. Make one out of a Super Six, or the Commadore that goes with it.0

This is my Wasp. I have owned in since 1983. Short Hood Stepdowns are my favorites... had Pacemakers, Wasps, Super wasps and love them all....0

Here are some pics of my 51/52 Waspmaker (found out the true origin with the help of the forum)

You don't see too many Wasps. I saw a few for sale when I was looking for a Hornet, but at the time didn't know the difference and had my sites locked on a Hornet. Wish I had the room Hudsondad has to work on all my stuff. Interesting on how those quarters were cut off. Almost looks like they are removable. were they rusted that bad and complete new quarters put on.0

The rear quarters on 48-53 are bolt on. Had some rust in the perimeter and every fender/quarter/door was banged or scraped. Stripped about 6 coats of paint off and straightened as much as we could. Block sanded for about 6 weeks. Car was painted outside in the backyard about 16 years ago.0

yeah, if hudsondad
EVER
gets it out this year,
I'll take a few pictures of our cars side by side....
funny, how there seemed to be so much more room in the late 80's huh, hudsondad? :eek:0 -
a work-in-progress; almost 3 years now. Recently found the original engine that was on a garage floor in CA (2nd owner) for 47 years, and I'm currently rebuilding it. Over-bore is .040", and crank is .010"/.010"; true roller timing chain, new valves, valve guides, new bearings,0
