My Hudson Made Me Do IT!

Just outta the blue this last week someone walked up to my door and handed me an offer at an extremely good price on my NON-GARAGE containing home and property - I didn't even have it listed...so, I countered with an offer 30k higher and the potential purchaser bit and the Purchase and Sale aggreement is now signed!

I know many things could still nix the deal and until the paperwork is signed and the check is in the bank nothing is for sure - but now I can start looking for a house with a garage (or better yet a big shop!), pay off all my bills, have enough for a great down payment on the new place and best of all...fully fund the remainder of the "Rambos Ride Project" - hopefully with some coin left over to boot!

Of course it will take some time for all this to happen and then an eventual move but I am going to rent this house back on the cheap for the next 6 months while I am looking for a new place and with money in hand I can start ordering the parts and putting it back together in the mean time!

I know I'll be a much happier man once I get into a place with a garage/shop (or "cave" if you will...) to work on and gloat over the many Hudsons I want to own (and other toys) - and if I'm happier, Rambo is happier and all will be right and good with this world :)

Someday maybe I'll tell stories to my grandchildren(?) about selling my first house to build my first Hudson...:D

    Good Luck Dan,
I am looking at some properites of 2-10 acres in Denton co., TX , and I will probably find a buyer for this house fairly easy, being in Plano, Tx and about 300 feet from an elementary school. Only misgivings would be a slightly longer commute to work, and the higher gasoline prices. I need a shop building, and inside storage for my '56 Flxible bus. The Hornet and the Tatra currently are garaged here at the house, but not much room to work on them in garage with all my parts and tools. Ken U-Tx
Same issues with a possible longer commute for me as well - but my plan is to "have" to make the commute in the Hudson :p that should ease some of the pain!

Dan, cool beans! If someone made a generous offer and I"trumped" them 30 g's I

think I'd be doing handstands! Too cool.

Ken U-Tx, I've always had a soft spot for the Flxibles. Have had a few in our RV

park over the years "Cookie Jar" comes to mind. What kind of drivetrain do you have

in it? Loudon,OH is only a couple hrs. from were I grew up which was home for Flxible.

Been threw Plano too years ago and the mental picture I got reading your reply was

a Flxible coach rolling up the driveway to Southfork Ranch.

Home to the TV series Dallas...
