Got my 54 out of storage

Lets see, my son had just finished his first year of collage and before he went back to school we stored the 54 Hornet in my neighbors barn. Ok he graduated in 2002 went on for his masters degree. Finished that and has been working at his job in Jersey City for three years this summer. O my god the car has been in my neighbors barn for almost 7 years.



She called me 2 weeks ago to tell me that she and her husband have gotten a divorce and they SOLD the house and barn. Thank God my other son works at a garage and we were able to pick the car up using their car carrier.



Yesterday I put the rebuilt starter back in the car some fresh gas, a battery and it would not start. Today we changed the fuel pump and after many attempts it started! Filled my whole garage up with thick grey smoke and after about 10 minutes it settled down. We were so excited we called my son Greg's cell phone and let him hear it run. (He is in Germany on Business).



All I have to say it that I really know my wife loves me with 2 Hudsons in the garage and now one in the driveway she has not even mentioned divorce.
