1931 Hudson
I currently have a 1930, and 1931 I bought the 31 for parts, but it’s so complete I haven’t entirely made up my mind the thought is to see if there is any interest for the original straight eight complete motor and tranny, and the restored wood wheels with new tires? If it looks like enough interest is generated, I’ll part the 31, I can post pics later today. Thanks.

Currently I am only contemplating the sale of the complete drive train, Suspension, straight eight cylinder complete motor down to the carb, The transmission and the restored wheels with new antique tires on them, and possiblly the seats, I bought the car for the radiator, headlights, and grill, and maybe the fenders, and windows, however, if you need anything else, I might part with the item, the plan is to still have enough of a shell left to Hot Rod, after I build the 1930 up. I have pics of the entire car, but need someone to host them, as they are too large to display here, This is an excellent oppurtunity for someone looking for an original 1931 Hudson Drive Train, any thoughts on what this motor will add to your project? would I be better off finding another grill/Headlight/ radiator assembely for the 1930, and restore the 1931 back to it's glory or Rod the both of them? thanks for any help that you can provide.

1930 and 31 grill and headlights are very different. So I think you'd be better off finding the correct 1930 parts. You should restore the 31 if that is what you want to do.
Good Luck

Does anyone have a picture of the 1930 grillto compare with? and how hard will it be to find a 1930 grill?0 -
would you happen to have a radiator for a 31? thanks\

Best bet would be to post ads in Hemmings and the WTN. You could also go to the club roster and call folks with '31s and see if anyone has a spare. I suspect they are not easy to find. Other choices would be to use something that works. As mentioned elsewhere, an 8N Ford tractor radiator might work. You can buy these brand-spanky-new at Tractor Supply Co. and elsewhere for a very reasonable cost. There are also companies that cater to the street rod folks who make radiators that are very good and reasonably priced in all shapes and sizes.
Did you get the e mail I sent you?
Have a nice day

JAMES If I'm seeing enough in the pics looks like the rad shell is there. ??Maybe recore it ? Same goes for Bob if he has a bad radiator he can recore it.0

I know it sounds a little funny, but I talked to Chuck B. (see post Sad event in Iowa) and he says that even though his cars were destroyed in the fire they have many parts that are still usable. He had two 1931s that were both nice cars. He might not be able to get to it for a short while but you might find out what his time frame is. Chuck is one of the most positive upbeat Christian guys I know, he wants something good to come of this just as much as all Hudson nuts do. Contact him at:
