Stepdown quarter window glass

Is there any secret for removing the quarter window glass on my 53 HH.. I took the frame out of the car and am attempting to pull out the glass but it will not budge. I suppose that a little extra strength is needed, but does anybody have an easy method.

There are no tricks that I am aware of... the glass is held in place by friction fit. There is a rubber cover/gasket that fits around the periphery of the glass that is in the chrome frame. The gasket and the thickness of the glass is what makes the tight fit.
