Attended an interesting auction in Ks. Sat. - the Hudson dealership porcelain signs brought max prices, inc. 13' one that attaches to side of building which brought $6400 sans neon & "RAMBLER" painted over Hudson on one side, whereas the 7 Hudson cars brought, in most cases, no more than parts car prices inc. a '53 H cp., with orig. engine, straight but ratty, which fetched all of $675!

Is this the auction wherein a '32 Hudson 4-door was to be sold? "Tell us more!", cried the eager, wide-eyed children, as they huddled reverently at the feet of the great man...0

Jon - the '32 Hudson std. sedan, formerly belonging to Dr. Loree of N. Y. who once had a '29 dual cowl phaeton, sold for a measly $18,000!
It had an older, but nice, not totally original restoration.0 -
the '49 "Custom coupe" is in fact a S6 brougham, had a 308 engine with power steering; good paint & body, orig. interior - they said they'd burned up the clutch earlier in the day.
Most of the cars just pushed out of the garage & left on street in little Ks. town.
Two of the 3 '53 H coupes had no engine.
The '49 Comm. conv. had an Olds V8 engine & some Old crud attached to the dash.0
