Cool - describes Hudson as "A super-fast flash in the pan, the Hudson was only produced for seven years."

Damn, this means all this data I've been scanning into my computer didn't exist - and none of those older Hudsons I've seen over the years don't exist either.

    It's all a big dream!!!!!!!!!!

    LOL ROF LLAM LMAO

Studebaker got maligned as well today on BW website:

No mention of Avantis being made into the 90s or Studebaker's production in Canada through '66. I am really surprised at BW, they have typically been pretty sharp but these mistakes are dumb.

FYI.. Avanti is still in production albeit a changed body... and now in Georgia.

  • I think few things set my fuse off as much as people who can't get their automotive facts straight, especially in print. The comments about Hudson could have been made (somewhat) more correct by the simple addition of the term "Step-Down," which was produced for seven years ('48 thru '54), but I would hardly call Step-Down Huds "flashes in the pan." I notice in the Sarge photo caption they also butchered Jeep's manufacturer as "Willy's-Overland." So many people even at car shows get this one wrong when all they have to do is look at the damn manufacturer's tag! Never mind that it's actually pronounced "WILL-iss"...

I suppose that's what happens when you get these young, spoiled Ivy League grads, insulated from normal people, stuck in a big-city high-rise writing this bilge and never getting past the Mercedes or Lexus or Audi dealer... You'd think, since they undoubtedly wade through the Internet every day, they'd try to spend an extra 5 minutes to get their facts straight!

That would work if you counted the AMC years.

Some of us could have provided a good pic of a 51. Why did they go and use a 53?
