I have searched to Forum for a post on this, but no luck. Has anyone found a proper size box to fit the dispenser? I know I have seen these advertized somewhere.

  • The problem with tissue dispensers from the stepdown era and current available tissue boxes has bugged Hudson folks for quite a while. The main problem is that the size of the tissue boxes (and tissues!) has shrunken over the years. What once was readily available is now a bit more trouble to obtain. You can get fairly close to the origional size by getting tissues from motel/hotel chains. Generally they will give you a box or two but the consumer variety available in supermarkets etc, really don't fit too well at all. Some folks put spacers in to accomodate the extra area where the full size box used to be and other folks don't use the dispenser at all for tissues. It sometimes is used for hiding FM converters or the like. Good luck in your search.
  • Medical Suppliers... room dispensor size is close match
  • The tissue dispenser that came in my 48 Commodore had a full box of Kleenex already in there. The box is dated 1939!

my one box i've got left (installed) is from the early 80's. the things just turn to lint if you try to use them for anything wet (nose, condensation, etc)
