Nice car- level of bidding surprises me, though, for a nice but unrestored 4 door. The pictures are a good argument for swabbing off the lens of your camera once in awhile :>)
  • At least the high bidder put in his bid for what he's willing to go right off the bat. The guy with the multi bids kept bidding until he got as high as he was willing to go, too, I'd guess. Not unusual.
  • Darn nice car. Clean and unmolested. Twin-H and Hydromatic, all the right stuff. I'd say $15,000 to $17,000 by end of auction.
  • As far as one can tell from pictures taken through a grimy lense as the fog rolled in, the interior (are those vinyl covered seats?) and grungy trunk need help. I wonder what else would show up if the seller did swab the camera lense. Don't get me wrong, it's a beatuify car. Hopefully, someone will buy it and give it the respect it deserves.

I'd say that's about the condition mine is in. Except for the vinyl seat. Grungy trunk and all. It's one you aren't afraid to drive in the rain and snow to the grocery store. This is the Hudson you drive while your project is torn down.

Must be nice if you're lucky enough to have $12,000.00+ dollars to buy a 53 year old car to beat.

Not saying that I beat on mine, or that you should beat on this one for sale. Simply saying you could have a good driver that you don't have to fret over for 12K+. Treat it like a car not an investment. My Hornet has gotten me through some tough times when I couldn't afford to buy another car, had to drive it to work in the snow a few times too. (I don't suggest driving in the snow with bias-ply tires)
