Is there a spacer block on a 212 engine for the fuel pump? or does the pump mount to the block with just a paper gasket? If there is a block how thick should it be.

Thanks

  • I guess no one knows if you need a spacer block or not>

Yes, definitely a spacer! Contact Dave Kostansek (sells rebuilt Hudson fuel pumps, advertises in WTN); he may be ablet to tell you how thing, might possibly have one, and definitely can sell you a rebuilt pump!

Yes you need a spacer. My 212 engine in my 37 requires a .275 inch spacer to get the right pump stroke i hope this helps.

  • Thanks There wasn't one on my 40 guess thta's why the person put on a 6 volt pump.
  • One more question. Is the 308 Hornet fuel pump spacer the same size as the 212 fuel pump spacer? I have one for a 308 and was wondering if i could use it on the 212.

The mech. procedure manual says the spacer is 275 thou. thick or about 5 gaskets thick, hope this will help. Just do a little measuring.
