A nice Rod Candidate

  • No Rust ? ! ? Better look closer, rocker panel is rotted out below front fender, and looks like rust-out above the rear wheel too ! This unit may reside in AZ., but with visable rotted area's like it has, it probably hasn't been in the 'dry dessert' it's entire life !

  • Yeah, but you gotta admit this is a great deal for $2500 and super candidate for someone that wants to modify a hudson coupe. You can spend $2500 and get a lot less to start with.
  • I think you are right, Rick, that front wheel is too far forward. They didn't do a good job of measuring before they welded. I would have the clip moved or cut off and a new stub frame/MII installed. And you'll want to look at the other side as well.

I can look at it if anyone is interested, looks like its here in the Valley.

I guess if its got no frame rot, it would be worth $2,500 considering what any Hud is going for these days. Is that a Hornet? Or Commodore? Coupes are going to get harder to find I think. I guess even with the frame rot, my car wasn't a bad deal either.

  • At least if the wheels are too far forward it's easy too fix. Measure twice/cut once! It appears to be a super or commodore from the side emblem. You could also get a fatman stub or get a parts car with a stock front frame and return to original. The demand for coupes is going to far exceed the available supply. It's hard to tell from a picture, but you don't get alot for $2500 and these are desirable for restorers and customizers. Who would feel bad about modifying this car??
