anyone ever upgrade to discs in front? is there an easy way to do it, any specific parts that will fit?

The rear disks from a Lincoln Town Car will work on a stepdown, but I don't know if they will work on a '46. There are also kits available for the conversion. Check the previous disk brake conversion threads for more information.
