1936 T Pickup on eBay

This pickup used to reside in Richfield Springs New York. It was Bill Pratts in the 70s. The truck was at one time driven by my father who lived in Windham and carried fresh Dairy milk from farms to the creamery in the truck. The vehicle appears to be a truck... but it has a Hudson factory kit on a car body.

The owner sent me the following response:

Ken thanks for the history the owner is suppost to send some pics, you are indeed correct, the truck did start as a sedan,we believe that only 500 of these kit were made and the bed was manf. in Canada. the owner moved to Florida but sold it to a man in TN. It now sits in a shop just outside of Union city TN. which is in the northwest side of the state.

I'm sure glad you posted this pic with the sign on the door as I remember seeing it & another Hudson sitting outside in this small town in upstate NY & taking a pic of it. Was "Crystal Springs Garage" a Hudson dealership?

Ken, N. & I had been in Mass. visiting her parents & were on our way back to Ind. to see mine again on route back to Calif. when we saw & photographed it - THAT WAS IN 1963 !!!!!!!!!!!!

Pete: The garage in question was a general mechanical shop for cars. Crystal Springs is as it sounds a part of Cairo NY where springs came out of the rocks. I grew up in this area and spent many a day exploring the caves and springs of the northern Catskills. How interesting that you and N got to see this vehicle then... the last time I saw the PU it was in his front building. On that day Bill and sons were pullinga 52 Hornet Convertible out of a 20 year sleep ... 1970 something... Remember the Converible Larry Caye the photographer had redone in Buffalo... beautiful red and Black job? (burned in a garage fire in California) That was the same 52... Memories... oh great Memories.

Hope Bill is lookin down favorable on all of us from the great Hudson Garage in the sky!

I am interested to hear that it was a sedan to begin with because the pickup trucks did not come with exterior horns and Iwas really wondering what was up with this '36T
