Damn!!!!!!! How Rare Are These ?

Comments

  • He's running a sale - buy 7 get one free (at $100 each)
  • I have to say it but some of the people that sell on ebay are just plain morons. I mean that as no offense to morons. Like the guys selling NOS air and oil filters yes I want to chance my 5 grand complete engine rebuild to your P-O-S original filter that has been sitting on the shelf for 50 years and has the filtering capacity of a cabbage strainer.

Makes me laugh......especially the guys who repost 15 times not getting the message it ain't going to sell.

There is a market for NOS plugs like this from the 20's and 30's, but even so, the most he should be asking is $20/each if they are still sealed in the original wax.

But if I buy them for say $30.00 a piece and take them home and install and drive my car then what do I have ? Used old plugs worth ??? with the seal off ?

    Quite Spendy!

Really these are only good for a concours type restoration or a non-driving muesuem piece that wants to be original - and there are those types of restorers and builders out there...

In the '30's, Hudson 8's came with "Hudson 8" on them, which may be of some value to collectors/restorers. The one shown is a Champion. Can't be worth a hundred dollars, though...

I bought a set of these a few years ago on ebay, for $60 the whole set. Sure, they are rare, and I will probably never use them, as I still have two sets of Champion 7ComL and a set of KLG long reach plugs awaiting installation. My '28 Essex has had a set of 7 Com L's in for the last 21 years, so I figure it will take me quite a while to use these all up, as I'll be 70 next year! BTW, the 7 Com L were a double electrode 5/8" reach hot plug, and were about equal to the original AC plugs, which had 1/2" of thread, but the electrode went away down into the combustion space. This guy is in cloud cuckoo land if he expects to get $100 each in my opinion.

Hope you Hudson folks are keeping track of this moron that is using these posts as advertisment and fluding this board. He can kiss my ass and i would never use his services anytime or place. So mr navigator,,,,Get lost if this is your way of getting business.
  • Good Lord, I don't know about the earlier Hudsons, but OE for '29 is an AC G14. No spark plug is worth that kind of money unless they're solid gold.
