WIRING colors; did Hudson \"color code\" the wires?

Just curious; it surely would be nice to color code to separate the wiring circuits, as opposed to all black wires, e.g. I have a Painless wiring panel which I plan to install and there are lots of colored wires there. Any ideas or recommendations?

    the factory service manuals have full wiring diagrams including colors

    If anyone has these color-coded wiring diagrams saved onto a file, please post the file here here for easy access in the future by those who will be restoring their Hudson's and want to do it right.

    Rhode Island Wiring and Y 'n Z's build the original fabric covered wiring harness. Using one of their harnesses is your best bet and solution to your question.
