  • I have determined that the "Jet Set" is a myth. I sent my dues almost a year ago, and never rec'd anything except for a cashed check. :confused:

    Seriously, does anyone know what the bullitin was like? One page? Five pages? Monthly, Bi-Monthly, Quarterly....or once a decade? And how many members?

    Would anyone here on Classiccar be interested in a Jet Set revival? I could help with layout and printing, but I don't think I have a large enough knowledge base to do any good articles.
  • We joined the Jet Set about a year ago. When we didn't receive anything we E-mailed Ted and in January we heard from him via E-mail. He told us that he was about to put the Fall issue out followed by the Winter issue. We never received either issue. So, we started E-mailing him again to try to find out what was going on. We had given up on it, but then about a month ago we decided to try once again by E-mailing him. Finally we got a response and this is the the E-mail that he sent us.

    Hello Mark;

    So as to not dwell on all the problems with the JS, and the computor

    peoblems I'll refund your

    JS job!lI have a nowsletter about ready to go with some stuff I found in a

    Hudson Merchandiser and a story from Red Burke on his 1d Jet.. where are all

    the folks who promised top write articles on occasion or tech stuff ? Let

    We received this E-mail on 7/11/06 and still haven't seen a Jet Set yet.

    This is what our experience so far has been regarding the Jet Set.

    I have rebuilt 2 Jet Liners, and done much service work on others. If you need any technical help, just sing out! However, I have no experience on hydramatic transmissions or twin carb set-ups. all our cars are r.h.d., and there is no room on that side for an extra carby. Been driving my Jet for 35 years now. In my opinion, the best "all-round" motorable vehicle Hudson ever built.

    Geoff.
  • I got my Jet Set today!!!!!!!!! There's a nice article on Red Burke's Jet 1D with some sharp pics. Thanks Ted.

    I suggest that someone address this issue at the National to get some new push on it. Niels
