Macungie 2005 Hudson featured.....

Anyone got interest in seeing these pictures?

I was thinking of burning some of the shows to DVD, and perhaps selling them, but rather, might make the 05 Macungie pictures available, via a link below.

Does anyone want me to post them in a similar format as I have with Docs meet 06 and Bill Albright's Vintage coach? (see my signature.... for the links...)

Thoughts?

Doc's Meet is in Front Royal, VA every May (usually Mother's Day weekend). It has been held every year since 1964. It is second largest meet HET has, next to the National. Usually daws about 300 Hudsonites and about 70 HET cars. here is 2006 flyer at this url http://www.hudsonclub.org/images/Docs2006.pdf

    Hudsonkid,

Thanks for posting the pictures of Doc's meet. I hope to make it next year...

I would love to see the photos of the mucungie meet in a similar format. My dad said that one of my grandfathers cars was there.

    Thanks,

    Matt

That blue/blue '46 Super Eight coupe is owned by Todd Harrington of the Chesapeake Bay Chapter. Previously owned by H-E-T members in New England, Florida and Maryland.

    John,

Thanks, that is one cool Hudson. Is that an original Paint scheme ? How many super 8 club coupes were made ? I'll bet they're more rare than Commodore 's ... I would luv to talk to him about the car. Thanks

Super 8's are rare indeed. Hudson tried to offer a less expensive 8. By '49 they phased them out at 1,074 units produced. I've only seen 2 ever in step-down form.

    Uh...

Where did you get the 1,074 number? We had 2 restored 1949 Super 8 coupes in my small town until other owner sold his last year. His had factory leather interior. I still have mine. 495.jpg

the 1,074 figure comes from Butler's book and I meant for the last year of Super 8 production ... 1950 not 1949.

That picture of your car is beautiful. I reminds me of how striking the lines are on these Hudsons. Never had the brand X crowd argue about that!
