Hi guys, I asked his question in another part of the forum, and was redirected to here, to the Hudson discussion.

Can you please tell me, from what car is this dashboard? What model? Aprroximately what year? Thanks!

  • I believe the instrument cluster is from a 1929 Essex, A friend of mine had a 29 a few years ago and I remember the instrument cluster as being a thing of beauty.

  • I have a 1929 Hudson Standared Sedan with this dash with a pine cone design. This looks to have the rose pattern for the 1929 Hudson custom bodied cars. Where did you find this one and what are your plans for it ? Looks like a real nice one. Thanks, Ron
  • Hi Ron, /first of all, thank you guys fior the identification!!!/ it is not exactly mine, but I am the one with the digital camera... A good friend was the lucky. Found at a flea market. And BTW the location is Europe, Bulgaria... Yes, the Hudsons have reached THAT far :) Sadly the car probably has been scrapped long ago!

P.S. Not only the Hudsons, one fellow here has a running 30's Rockney, and yours truly has a relic front half cut from a 1938 Chevy Master de Luxe :D

To be exact, the dash is from a 1929 Hudson with a Biddle & Smart body. This narrows it down to a Club Sedan, 7 passenger sedan, Victoria coupe, or Limousine. The Hudson-built steel bodies had a pine cone design, and the Briggs bodied Hudsons had a similar wild-rose pattern, but with subtle differences in the design.
