1954 Hudson Super Wasp Coupe for Sale -
On Philadelphia's Craig's list. Does not run, seller claims it just needs a tune-up. Also indicates it has a 7x engine. Seller is asking $8500.00 -

Didn't it need frame work? And now a tune up! What next?:rolleyes:0 -
If it looked like the pics and had a good frame I would buy it now don't care about the engine got two more like in on stands in my garage. $8500 would be a real steal of a deal......0

The car in the picture looks like a Hollywood to me. So what's with the Coupe bit ?? Must be another car ?
This has been a very confusing thread since the beginning.

Traditionally, many people refer to any 2 door car as a coupe...end of confusion...over and out.0 -

What I was originally thinking is perhaps someone was trying to sucker someone in with a "borrowed" picture. But seems unlikely.
Also, wierd how they got that detail wrong, yet were able to identify the 7X engine. You would think that they would want to mention hardtop, or hollywood just for the price jump.
I would have preferred a coupe over a hollywood anyway.

OK, -- so the car in the picture is the "Coupe" for sale. Anyone know when the picture was taken ?? From the feeback so far, and what we see in the pictures, something dosen't add up here. The car depicted looks like its in pristine condition, and being displayed at a show somewhere. Thats not what I'm hearing described though. If the car in the picture is really as good as it looks, it should be worth 20-30 grand!
Guess I'm just easy to confuse -- 'cause I still am on this one.

It seems to me that anyone interested needs to look it over or have a knowledgable person do it for them. Mine looked very nice on the outside, and it is for the most part, nice paint, chrome, etc. But underneath, its frame rot galor! I will never trust photos again. Now, I do think I got a deal not too bad because of all the really good stuff, but would definately do more investigating on my next project.

A Hollywood is a Coupe, unlike a Brougham which is a sedan. The Hollywoods were hand-built offline like the convertibles, by modifying a club coupe. The result was a hardtop coupe and was referred to as such in some hudson literature consequently broughams were documented as 2 door sedans.0 -

Did you buy the car?
