Can anyone cross a Champion J-8 plug over to an AC number. I would need the old original number as I am trying to find a set of NOS plugs for a 36 Terraplane. Thanks.

    AC = 45 or Auto-Lite (old number) A7. Also Bosch WR8EC. There's this cross-reference chart @:

    1936 Hudsons and Terraplanes used Champion J-8 with standard head; J-9 with high compression head. They are 14 mm with a gap setting of .022"

  • Although J-8's were used on many cars, my Champion reference info shows that it was also used on ancient lawnmowers such as Beazley, Bob-A-Lawn, Falls Roto Clipper, Propulsion and many more. Maybe a trip your local small engine shop would be in order. Maybe they have some old AC plugs that will cross to the J-8.
  • Thanks, Guy's. I will check out the info and web site.
