Hello:

I am seeking enough windlace to replace the original windlace in my 1953 Wasp Sedan. The material currently in place is original issue Hudson windlace and I would like to find a suitable sub that is exactly or very similar. I have added a link to a picture of the windlace I am seeking. If you have source for new or have good used (not dirty, dry rotted, frayed or the rubber dried out) please send an email to me as shown below. Include price with shipping, and contact information.

See picture of the windlace here...

  • Have you taken a look at Restoration Specialties http://www.restorationspecialties.com on page 86 of their catalogue they list reproduction windlace. I would give them a look from the picture looks kind of close. You can send them the picture and they will tell you if they have a match. They answered my queries promptly.

You may also want to check out Lebaron-Bonney's selection. They have some close matches in color but don't have the "X" pattern as in your photo. I'm looking at some swatches now and the #60B seems real close to what you have except for the pattern. Their number is 1-800-221-5408 for free samples and a catalog or www.lebaronbonney.com
  • Thanks for the leads. Hope to find the right material.
