Latest Reputation Received... What's this for??

I've noticed this "Rep Power" icon and this "Latest Reputation Received" section in the User CP but no information on what it means.
Anyone?

Dan, I pulled up my user cp and the section at the bottom shows latest reputation and it links to a post I made on a thread. If you move your cursor to an icon that looks like a "set of scales" without clicking, it says "add to 'insert user's name' reputation. Maybe it lets members mark certain posts as your reputation. My current score is 13, though I have no idea what the other 12 posts were, nor how "bad" my reputation has gotten!0 -

Trouble Makers All!
So my rating of "3" makes me a something of a bad-#ss on the forum eh?... In the absense of information speculation and innuendo are all I have to go on...0 -
You can click onto a post from another poster and "add" to their reputation (you can not subtract). This is identical to two other car forums I frequent. If you think some one posted something good, you can add to their rep points. The little green squares add up, the more you post. So, if you have seven squares, let's say, you have a large number of rep points and if you move your cursor over the green square, it'll tell you how far up the forum foodchain you've moved. You can NOT add to your own reputation. You can NOT subtract from someone else's rep points, nor can you view how many they have. Click on the little silver scale to the right of your nic to see how many points you've acquired.0
