The interior is in!
The Terraplane is home from nearly two months in upholstery jail!!! Before that, it spent three weeks in glass shop jail, so I haven't really been able to work on the car since early June! The interior looks great! I finally have door glass that works like it's supposed to. I've been so tired of looking at a bare interior. It's not had the seats in it, nor any interior panels since I originally got the car. One neat feature of the '37 I was not aware of is the unique front seat - when you push the seat back forward to get in the back seat, the right side of the front seat slides forward approximately seven inches to allow better access to the rear seat.
So, the car will be done relatively soon. I still need to send the bumpers out to the chrome guy, attach the running boards, trim, color-sand the car, and minor electrical finishing, install the wipers and heater...then she's ready to tour.
I've been working on this for over two years...can't wait to actually drive it on a highway!

Congratulations, Patrick! You've sweated blood over that car and finally the pot is visible at the end of the rainbow! (Now don't go and sell it -- at least 'til you've driven it around the block, LOL!)0

That interior looks really good, as does the rest of the car. I have a 39 2 door
that has the same seat pivot mechanism. That is a neat feature that I have
not seen on other makes. I wonder how long Hudson used that feature?
Congratulations on you great looking Hudson.

Ooooh, Me like Terraplane.
Paint trailer to match it and put on some wide whites.
But really, interior work can really range in quality from unnacceptable to marginal to show perfect and everything in between. Of course, many times we insist that the edges and stitches are more perfect than they were from the factory! It looks like you got a good job there.

I spent enough &%@#$&-ing $$$ on it, it had better be good! Missed the Nats because of the delays, but it will certainly be in Indiana next year.0
