50 Commodore 6 (for Parts) got it home today
It starts but the clutch is real bad in it.
Chrome is great in some places and real bad in others.
Excellant hood and trunk. Got extra fenders with it. Headlights are there but missing in the pic (they will come later when I have time to download)
Glass is busted in some and not in others. good windshield, good rear glass.
Bumpers and front grille peices. Dash all nice.
Look later at the pics.
I am ready to part it out per request! Only problem is I don't have an open spot in a shed somewhere so if someone wants glass or doors, we may have to wait til I can move her inside.
Seats are pretty good in them, don't want to totally ruin them ya know.
Manual Trans. Flathead 6
No overdrive!
This thing is pretty complete. So if you need something let me know!
I am not always on here so you may want to use the email system.
Thanks
Ken

What style of trunk handle does it have?
I may be interested in the seats as well does it have the fold down center in the rear?
Thanks

Dan,
It has the Commodore trunk latch like the 48-49. They used an aditional chrome emblem mounted above it, but you should be able to use the fifty latch and handle assembly. Your not gonna "deck" it? Solenoids and such?maybe an automatic lift? Or maybe a Cadillac automatic lock? Grinnn

an origonal 50 handle does not have the liscence light in the handle as plate had been moved to the bumper. the casting in the lense area is solid, perhaps it is reworkable? the replacements were the same 48-50.0

I have pictures of all that your asking about. Hope I remember how to down load them here.
Yes back seat has the one that the center folds down. what was that for anyway..... the baby so they could see too?0 -

I didn't shave the deck lid - but I am going to use a cadillac pulldown system w/automatic release but I still need the handle and a license light so I'm not sure yours would work. (No automatic lifts for me...:))
How about the seats? Are the springs rust free and does the rear have the fold down center?0 -

Got a 50 trunk handle with a light if you need one in good condition will need to be rechromed in order to be show quality:)0 -
It was for a arm rest for the two rear seat passengers. It is also where i set on trips from 1950 to 1954. I wasn't a baby (9 - 13) but i could see down the road from there.

OK I think I got it now. Here come the pics. Don't know about the springs in the seats but I can look today. They seem solid to me.....0 -
Here are a couple of the seats. And that truck latch needs rechroming.0

And some of the whole car.0

Thanks 46, will do that from now on.0

Great find. You've expressed that it's for parts only and typically some cars have more value parting out as opposed to resortation. What I've seen of the pics, it's a restorable car. The seats and dash almost look as good as the 50 Commodore I'm working on. The body doesn't look as though it's beyond repair, especially having gotten spares with it. If the engine will fire up,certainly it's rebuidable if really needed.I'm the eternal optimist about Hudson's,anybody can build a Ford or Chebby.
Maybe a dear soul will make an offer that would give you a reasonable profit.
You were fortunate to have gotten it below actual value. You will easily get you money back. Come somebody buy the whole thing and bring it back. Wish I could afford it, but I've 2 great kids and no mama.
Good luck, thanks for letting me share.

Well, all I can say is, Everything is for sale its just the price.
I am ofcourse willing to listen to offers!0 -

The latch won't work for me maybe the seats...where are you located?
I'm not familiar with the 50 model are the front fenders "rusted out" or is that where the grille pieces go?0 -
The front fender are rusted out and the grille peices go there also. So you are seeing an extra big hole.
I think there is a pic of the back of the front seat..... those parts on the floor IMO all go on the front of the car some where, not sure myself what they all are.0 -
Located in Minnesota.... I have a sinking feeling your a bit far when I see the Pacifac NW on your tag.
Regardless. The seats are awesome. I took the front and the back seats out, flipped em over. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice! Some rust but I see way more black paint. I can't tell you yet what the back rests look like if your intested in those, but are you serious? Do you want me to drag them out and take pictues? If not, I won't bother just yet.0 -

I'm interested...but given the distance I think shipping would be prohibitive and a big PIA to package or pallet so they wouldn't get damaged.
I'll try to find some donors closer to home...
Thanks anyway!0 -

I know if there is that much rust-through on the front - there are probably bigger issues on the perimiter rails - I'd say this is a good candidate to part out...IMHO of course0 -
How is the dashboard, photos?0
-
how much for the extra fenders?0
-
please tell me you have a right fender? can you post pics of the whole car0
