A happy Hudson day
We went to the CBC club's "Marbury Motors" meet today. Some rain dampened the turnout of cars but not people and as usual it was a great time. We've been dealing some unexpected hydramatic aggravation and other issues for two weeks now but due to my clever uncles's hydramatic know-how it is running the best it has ever run since we've owned it. We've taken it on some other trips but it was never really satisfactory until now. 70 mph+ highway driving and lots of stop-and-go through towns with heavy traffic is a good test of the engine and transmission and it performed flawlessly. This car has been troublesome since day one and it's really nice to see all the work paying off. Just had to brag.:)

I was at the same meet and it was great, as Ed said. It is held out 'in the country' in Southern Maryland, 1 mile from a former Hudson dealership, in a little clearing near a brook under a covered pavilion. It's become one of our 'standard' chapter meets. I just wish I hadn't listened to the weatherman today, who predicted 60% chance of thunderstorms and showers and 'probable' showers in the afternoon. I stupidly elected to leave my '37 (with its 'holy' convertible top) at home, and drive my Brand X (now 21 years old itself) instead. It sprinkled lightly for maybe 8 minutes on the way home at 4:30 -- that was the extent of the day's violent weather. So much for weather predictions.0
