This is the car that Bob Kerchner sold for about $36,000 about two weeks ago.So why does someone want to sell it for about 1/5 of what it sold for on Oct 3rd? Hmmmmmmm.

First of all thank you for your interest in my eBay auction.

Because this is the second time when I open an auction for this car, I had this auction oppened with 'pre-approved buyer' feature to prevent non serious buyers from ending the auction early.



The car is in a perfect condition, Like you already have seen in the pictures, no scratches, no rust, no damages, no hidden defects, 100% original and the engine works great.



I just moved to Netherland (Amsterdam) because of my wife she wanted to be closer to her parents because they are old and very ill.We are expecting a baby in a few weeks and I have to sell it, because I really want to improve the old house that we bought when we moved, in time, for the baby.

The car doesn't have EURO 4 norms and I can't register a car that has US emissions here.



Those are the reasons why I'm selling it for $7,200.00 USD including the shipping and insurance charges.

All documents, including owner's manual in english, clear title and bill of sale will be provided along with the car.

The transaction will be made under eBay's buyer protection plan and third party company - called Square Trade - they will keep the money until you get the car.

I'm a serious seller and a fair trader and I prefer to deal only with a serious buyer. If you consider yourself one please e-mail me back so we can start our deal.

And, of course, there are several reasons this is bogus:



The car doesn't have EURO 4 norms and I can't register a car that has US emissions here. A 1948 anything has no "emissions" issues and is exempt from US and EU regulations. Plus, on cars that DO have US emissions, the US standards are stricter than everywhere else in the world EXCEPT Japan, where you can NOT bring a car in built after 1976 unless it meets the Japanese emissions.



The absurd low BIN. They try this on everything from 440+6 Mopars to Hudson ragtops to newer SUVs and Jeeps.



The wording of the response. Notice virtually none of these people running these scams can write a coherent sentence in English?



And there are other ways, too. All you can do is report them to ebay.
