Part needed for my 49
Redoing my 49 super six. Came with manual shift not going back to orginial with the motor or tranny. What i need is a gear shift indicator for an automatic tranny iam guessing that mounts to the steering wheel. Thanks for your help. PM or e-mail me cost and shipping info. Brad:)

Are you talking about the indicator for a dual range Hydramatic? If so, check will Bill Albright.0

You said you're not keeping the orig. motor and tranny - but you're going to keep the original column?
It might be a little difficult to make an original hudson shift indicator work with a different transmission.
An aftermarket column w/column shift indicator might be a better bet?0 -
It will shift like a modern day car with the olds tranny in it little addaption and some steel shift link rods. Dont have any pictures of all this doing the body work now on the rotisserie but when i start putting it all back together will post some pics. Iam getting at when you pull towards you and down to shift from park to drive or reverse thats how it will work. Was going to put in a floor mounted shifter but would look to godie or a street racer. Kinda hard to explain but get some pictures posted and people will see what iam talking about.0
