'51 Hornet Clutch Parts needed

Unknown
edited November -1 in HUDSON
Hi Folks,

My Dad has a mint 1951 Hornet in South Africa which needs clutch parts.

IE: Clutch plate with cork lined pressure plate and thrust bearing

My usual good source, Kanter Auto, requires the old parts in order to remanufacture new ones.

Are there any other sources for these parts since it is likely to become tedious having to ship the old parts from SA to the US and back?

I live in JAX, FL where I can receive the parts and forward them on to SA.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Neville.

A few years ago I was in contact with a fellow in South Africa with a few Hudson parts. I think he sold the bunch to someone there, and possibly if you 'follow the parts' you may find someone with a bunch of them for sale. You never know. The fellow was Ian Sholto-Douglas at HETI.Sholto-Douglas@ru.ac.za (drop the HET before mailing).

I assume your dad is in the H-E-T Club? If so, has he checked some of the South African members listed in the roster, to see if by any chance they have leads on parts over there?
