Well we know no one is making linkages for Twin H so I am piecing one together for my Special. Does anyone know here who has linkages for multi carb flathead Fords? I have had a dual carb manifold for my 51 truck and a box of carbs, but just never got around to it. Now the single carb is needing a rebuild and this is the time to do it. I am sure there are a ton of places making them, just thought I would ask if anyone here know where to start. Hope to buy a pre made one, I have got enough work ahead of me on the Twin H's

thanks

I went on their site and didn't see anything. I looked under flathead Ford and Carb linkages and didn't see anything.
  • 464 I have a Twin H linkage on my bench that I will be using on one of my 308's I can take some detail pictures of it and make measurements if you want. If you have a little skill with a welder and saw I am sure you could fab this piece. I can even take pics of the linkages to the carbs then you can have at it.

In my speedway catalog there's linkage listed under tri-power/manifolds. $49.95

51A thanks. I may or may not need your help there, I think I have all the pieces from Bill A but they will need some work. I have a couple of buddies in the local that have Twin H cars I can check against.

dad thanks I will search under that.
  • Maybe hudsondad will make you the pieces like he did for me...

    well, probably not....

if you find the piece that bolts to the head, everything else is fairly easy to make, and the supplies can be found at a good hardware store.

I think there may be some confusion here and it is probably the way I originally posted. I have everything to put together a Twin H and i am working on it in my spare time. I have decided to twin carb my flathead Ford since I have had the manifold (Weiand) and carbs forever, I just don't have linkage. I am sure there is reproduction out there for them out there, just not sure wher to look and thought someone here might know. I can't find anything in the Speedway catalog and that is the first place i thought would have it. I am going to try Hemmings next.
  • Got to "Honest Charlies" catalog, I think they have them

The more popular hot rodding magazines (Rod and Custom, Custom Rodder, and especially Street Rodder) have a zillion pages of ads, and I'd be willing to bet you'd find the linkage (or at least get started on the trail to finding it) if you pick up a copy off the newstand. People curse the ads in magazines, but for specialty hobbies, they give important info on where to find parts.

From the looks of it it ties the two together but what actuates it from the pedal? Your going to need some type of double connection on the rear carb to take actuation from the pedal and in turn actuate the front carb. With my luck I will probably end up making one since I have seen a million of them available and now that I am interested I won't find one.
