Wheel Cylinder for Rear End?
My 37 Hudson coupe has a Ford 7.5” rear differential in it & I need to replace the wheel cylinders & the bore is 3/4” with brake shoes at 9” x 1.75”. I’m wondering if the original wheel cylinders were 1” bore & if I would need to bump up the size if factory was 1”, or I’d it not really a concern? Thanks

I pulled one rubber cover off the wheel cylinder last night & it definitely looks like it needs replacement! Off to parts store to see what I can find.

No other wheel cylinder to use with the 9” backing plate. You are correct, with a swap of backing plates to the 10” ones then one uses larger wheel cylinders & pads.0
