12V mini-starters available again
The 12V mini starters are available again from the vendor on ebay. These are for Hydramatic cars only, unfortunately. I have had one now for over a year on my '54 and it works great. You will need to make a small change to the throttle linkage to make sure it does not rub, but otherwise it is a very simple install. It weighs probably half of what the old one does. I also bought one for my Packard V8 engine going into my Studebaker pickup but have not had a chance to install it yet.

Ken I am not sure how long ago you got yours, but if you notice the holes are elongated in the ones now being produced. I have had mine for about 1.5 to 2 years and no trouble so far. I had to make a modification to my throttle linkage but it was easy.0
