I am not sure why Paul Butler shut down that last thread, as I read it a couple times and didn't see anything offensive (maybe it got edited). In my opinion, this is a great conversation. These are things that everyone needs to know, so we can make an informed decision on the vendors we should use to restore our Hudsons. Blondwookie came back and asked if there were any other options for material, but it was shut down before anyone could answer. So I will ask.........Who else can supply material that is close to original besides SMS? Are they the only game in town? Is there anyone that is local that would be willing to go to SMS on behalf of club members to make sure the material is actually in stock and can pick it up?
I think we all realize there are some colorful conversations on the forum, but the knowledge we can gather from these conversations usually outweighs the "offensive" language.

    Read it again Don and you will see why I shut it down. I will continue to shut down threads such as that.

    I disagree with your last statement 100% , I will not tolerate offensive language in any shape or form.

    I remind you that this is a public forum that anyone can read and , as such, I will protect it accordingly.

    If comments on this thread go the same way I will shut it down in the same way.

    Informed opinion and debate are welcomed, offensive comments are not.

    Paul is right.  By and large this forum has been one of the most civil I participate in.  Everyone really is decent and tries to help each other out.  We all do have our opinions and that is great.  A few years ago in the old forum things sometimes got really out of hand and some members left due to the attitude from others.  I don't think any of us want to see that again.

    I read the original comments and found them to be reasonable statements about a company and how it seemed to respond to various customers.  We have all been in situations with satisfactory or unsatisfactory outcomes.  This seemed to be an airing of those

    I closed the thread because there was language in there I deemed to be not appropriate. 

    I will close and delete any thread that doesn't conform to the etiquette of this forum.

    People may have a different opinion to me, that is fine however as Administrator of this forum the final decision lies with me. 

    I am fairly laid back and allow robust debate but if , in my opinion, a line is crossed then action is taken.

    I am now closing this thread, if you have an issue with that then feel free to PRIVATE message me or send an email to HETforum@hetclub.org (as ever drop the HET)
