FYI,
I suggest buy 225x75 R15 tires...... I bought set of 215x 75 R15 then removed after a few days for 225's because the motor was reving higher than I liked driving the Interstate.0 -
I like a 225/75R-15, little taller and is equivalent to a 7.60-15 which was optional0

Am running 235/75x15 on my '53. But, do have power steering and carry the stock bumper jack & axle scissor jack.
Edit: And chocks.
Also remember that the larger tires will not go down in the tire well in the trunk !!
