Tranny color

In my 52 Hornet, what color should the 3 sp/OD be? I have seen gold, black and silver. I assume gold like my other Hornet's Hydramatic, but not 100% sure.

Same color as the engine.  In production the engine and tranny were painted as a unit.

Thanks Park. That is what I thought, but I have seen 3 sp/OD painted black on a couple of cars so wasn't sure.
