Jet tires

What is the optimal / ideal modern radial tire size for a Jet with stock 5 x 15 inch rims? What should the width of the tire be and how wide should the tread surface be? Any advantage to going shorter or taller, narrower or wider?  Since I am not going to use wide white walls on my new (to me) Jet there are many more options.
