I am pretty sure it is original. I am not sure which county is from.

Ring gear is what you need, flywheel is separate. New RING GEARS are available from Jason Fisher at Vintage Coach in Fontana, CA for $75.

RING gear is shrink fit to flywheel. It is heated up with a torch to expand and them set on the flywheel and allowed to cool. It contracts and is firmly attached to flywheel.

I had a couple of used flywheels on a shelf, but new ring gear is probably a better answer. Do I just heat up the torn up ring gear to get it off? Or is it a little more complicated?

I was given a 1929 flywheel with many stuffed teeth, as well as a good used ring gear. I cut the damaged ring gear off and then found the used ring gear spun around on the flywheel. The flywheel had been machined down in the past. You can get ring gears with different inside diameters. Working on old cars you have to expect the unexpected.
