Tve only heard pitman arm could rub side of pan rail on block, however mine cleared the pitman since mounted little lower with different front mounts & reat Hydro mounts. I dont have Twin H though so probably need make a slight dent to clear.0

What year engine? 55-56 use different manifolds then earlier years. Might be the problem. I will assume you are using the eight cylinder front mount holes in frame.0

Using a 1950 262. Firewall is as built, no dents etc. also finish painted. Owner doesn't want to use a big Hammer.0

I put a 56 Hornet engine in my 40 2dr sedan. I'm using a Clifford 4 barrel intake and headers, a stepdown front engine plate, and a 700r transmission. I'm using the 8 cylinder Engine mount holes in the frame. No mods to firewall. The pitman arm nut is just above the oil pan rail.0
