Says to call if you don't see what you want. He can make it. He stressed it can be slow. If not ready made and in stock, be prepared to wait 8-10 months. That is his backlog to make new ones. Call for more info. 973-423-1196. His name is Donald Kuehn (N Haledon, NJ). His booklet states he takes a $50 deposit and the plates would be shipped c.o.d. when ready. He didn't take checks or credit cards or paypal. I'd have a set if he did. Since he didn't, my set of plates will just wait til another day.

I bought a set for my pickup and it has taken about 10 months since I asked for them.  I should receive them next week and he does accept checks.  He is good to his word and will contact you when ready.  They are available etched or etched with black detail for $250 plus $25 shipping.  They appear to be very high quality workmanship and worth the $$ and wait.  What else are you going to do with your money?  I will have the only 47 pickup on my street with sill plates!
  • This is what you can expect to get from Don. These have been on my ‘47 pickup for over 22 years now.Don does beautiful work. He usually only attends the Hershey swap meet and takes enough orders there that it takes a full year to fill them. He told me that he doesn’t advertise because the orders at Hershey and word of mouth keep him busy. I also have his sill plates on a couple of Studebakers.

I'm pretty sure his prices have gone up a bit since those numbers were posted. I'll see if I can get an updated price list from him at Hershey this year.
