1953 Hudson Hornet 7C MCH6204 1H Starter Bendix
Looking for some advice on my starter, tore it apart and found the spring retainer bent and split so I purchased one that was listed for a 1953 Hudson Hornet 7c however this is different then the one that I removed. My question is will this new one work?
It looks like its 1/4" longer however the pinion gear looks to be the same.

That is NOT the starter Bendix you want. You can buy them locally from NAPA or I will sell you one I have. I will also sell you just the repair parts if you want, for your starter.0
