I wish you would make up your mind with these
serial numbers.
You have been raving interminably about Buzz's
recent accquisition as a 1920 Hudson Limosine.
You have even posted the series designator (12-0)
and the serial number.
Now you tell us that the 1920 models are Model
O. Which is it - Model O or is it Model 10-O,
11-O and 12-O. Butler's History of Hudson says
1921 was 10-O, 11-O and 12-O - which you
previously arbitraily assigned to 1921!!!!!!!!
The last time I queried you on this you
dismissed my posting as "no big deal because
Hudson made minor changes and besides there are
not that many left anyway." Which is all the
more reason to get it right.
Technically you are correct in that the Model
H, Super-Six, tho intro'd in Jan 1916 was
considered by Hudson as a 1917 model. You are
fond of quoting Butlers book, yet you assign
model J/4J to 1918 totally disregarding Butlers
book putting it in 1917, thus bringing the Model
M to 1918 and O to 1919 and the 10-, 11- and 12-O
to 1920.
If you are going to diseminate information to
the general public it would behoove you to get it
right the first time. I have spent over 20 years
researching this stuff - I am not 100% correct,
nor will I ever be, nor will any Hudson
researcher. There are, yes, better out there
than I am - but I resent being told "It is no big
deal" by someone who hasn't a clue about what he
is talking about.
