Rick, the linings are twice the thickness of the original. The Bendix

brake book states that the linings are 3/16" thick. Allowing for wear,

truing-up machining etc. you could perhaps getaway with 1/32" oversize,

but you will have a real battle with that thickness. Assuming you may

have made a mistake in the measurement, the other thing to check is the

adjustment of the eccentric stop, and the secondary shoe anchor pin.

These must be set at minimum adjustment for setting up initially.
