Service Manual paint section

Paul et al: for your Town Sedan for instance:

per "Hudson Reference Sheet No. 36 - August 1929"

for the "Hudson Town Sedan"

lists "Standard", then 2 "No. 1 Option"s & a "No. 2 Option" based on

serial #s as years production proceeded.

Standard from serial #827004 was "UPPER BODY Hudson Std. Blue", then

it lists all the colors with that upper body color for lower body,

belt panel, belt panel stripe, bonnet, wood wheels, wood wheels

stripe, wood wheels flanges, wire wheels, shutter assy., & fenders

splash guards etc.

The "UPPER BODY" in Opt. 1 was "Reseda Green" used between serial #s

867693 & 880414 then Option 1 from serial # 880414 & up was upper

body color Nebraska Green, & opt. 2 was offered beg. with serial #

866721 and up & as in prior paragraph tells what colors for all those

other parts of the car were painted.

So basically you can tell PRECISELY what colors were used or were

available for the body style you have, esp. if a very low prod. such

as the limousine for which there was only 1 color combo offered!

It's in a columned format so easily readable, I just couldn't type it

out in the confines of this page properly or would have done so.

Hope this explains.
