Gentlemen - In lieu of several posted messages & several tele. calls

from some of you am going to post what is in the Manual in re Essex:

1.Wiring Diagrams showing: a. "Diagram 1. Bendix Starter. One

Terminal on Generator." etc. b. "Diagram 2. Manual Shift Starter.

Two Terminals on Generator". c. "Diagram 3. " " "

with a 9 point switch" d. "Diagram 4. American Bosch System". Now

the above is on 1 dbl. sided sheet shown on the motor.

2. "Essex Six Front Axle" inc. illus. + adj. brgs. & align front end.

3. rear axle & spring with illus., about 10 pps.

4. steering with illus., 3 pps. & "Super Six Steering Gear"

titled "TUNING THE ESSEX CHALLENGER FOR MAXIMUM POWER AND

PERFORMANCE"

11. motor with 3 pps. of illus. + Sept. '29 dealer letter on adj.

noisy timing chains & a "Timing Chain Guide" which can be put in.

12. the i.d. section has serial #s for Essex 4 & 6 (to '25 ?).

13. Essex paint info: Essex sedans, serial #s 475,425 to 500,000, 3

color combos. Essex coach, serial #s 100,000 to 500,000, 5 color

combos. Essex cp. serial # 500,000 up only 1 color combo. Several

pps. on uph. used with various body styles & paint colors. Then

for '29 Essex coach with std. & 4 options, coupe, std. & 4 options,

conv. cp. std. & 4 options, phaeton has 2 std. colors depending on

serial #, rd. std. & 4 options, std. sd. std. & 4 options, town sd.

std. & 4 options, & lastly Dover with only a std. color avail.
