DETROIT HUDSON CARBURETORS: 2 NEEDED

I'm in need of two Detroit Hudson carbs (as fitted to the side-valve

Super Sixes) for the racer. They're hard to find in Australia

because "everyone is building those Hudson race cars", according to

one of the better parts sources. In reality "everyone" probably

means about three cars spread across a big country, but it's a

serious spike in local demand. Gene Birdsall spoke to The

Carburetor Shop in Missouri on my behalf and yes, they have some in

stock and are prepared to part with them for US$800 each plus an

astronomical amount for shipping! Playing with old cars isn't a poor

man's hobby, but I can see how it could happen!



So I'm hoping maybe somewhere in our group there are one or two

surplus carbs, preferably in good condition (but that's not

critical), that I could obtain without having to take out another

mortgage on the house.
