Assuming it's a Hudson Terraplane pickup, it would have been one of about 800 made that year. I'm not sure if there was a Hudson '112' pickup made in 1938; if there was, I don't see any figures on the production totals. Is this one a Hudson 112, or a Terraplane?
  • please send pics, i love pre war pick ups. thanks. dermott.:)

A driver is worth 2500 to 5000 according to the old car price guide, but they're more scarce than hen's teeth. If ya like it ya better buy it if it's reasonable at all. There were short and long wheelbase units. Model 80 and 88 Big Boy respectively.

From a list of Commercial Body Specs I have in my General Information Handbook the following Hudson "112" commercial models were produced:

Panel truck (body by Checker Cab) and a pickup (body by Hudson). Also available in the "112" series was a Cab Chassis for those who wanted to put their own, or have another shop put it on, body.

As for shipments, there were 43,682 Hudson models - most likely all "112" models, commercial and non-commercial are included in this figure; the 808 commercial unit shiping figures, for Terraplane models, is a bit mis-leading as there were both Model 80 and Model 88 units included in this figure.
