Clutch "Pinned?"

When I pulled the clutch apart the other day, I was surprised to see that

the '29 Clutch looked more like a normal car than I thought it would. By

reading the shop manual, I had thought that the clutch would be "pinned" to

the transmission input shaft. I saw no signs of any sort of pins. What gives

here? Is it possible that only the multiplate units had the pinned assembly?
