Transmission Differences

I just got to pondering the transmission on my '26 Hudson. The top cover

has the lock like a '26 should and on the right side of the case the hand

brake lever is just where it should be. The input shaft is the splined '29

shaft.

Do proper '29 boxes still have the fittings for the handbrake lever that

had been moved to the frame rail? Were the gear ratios the same '26 through

'29? I'm just trying to figure out whether somebody bolted the handbrake

lever to a standard '29 box or installed the '29 input shaft to the original

'26 box.
