Paul, it looks like this is the manufacturing process which has done

this. Personally I figure that if anybody is looking under the car

then they are "nitpicking", and I don't bother about original

appearance under there. Consequently I have fitted a universal light

Truck muffler to my '29, which is a straight-through design, thus giving

no back pressure, and it sounds great, and cost me $100 (N.Z.), which

is about $45 U.S.
