Brake Adjusting Cam and Split Rims
I managed to twist the flatened end off of one of the brake adjusting
cams on my '28 H....The lock nut was frozen and I suppose a larger
wrench and heat was NOT the answer. Anyhow, I would like to replace
the cam...does anyone have one from which you would part or must I
have one made?
Also, I have a rim (6.00/6.50 x 19) to which the word "split" seems
to have taken a whole new meaning...I emailed Geoff Clark since I
seem to remember that someone in NZ was making new rims but if I
could find good, solid rims here in the good old US of A, it might be
easier. Welding is a short-term solution, I think, but I also think
that it would be a good idea to replace all of the rims with good
(unrusted) ones.
Thanks in advance,
Tom Goodman
